Touch-Screen Navigation and Command Center |
Faria® has developed the first true “marine computer system” designed to meet the demanding requirements of the recreational boater. The Maestro™ system consists of a powerful, compact, sealed, fan-less CPU, a high-resolution TFT daylight readable touch-screen and is powered by Maptech’s industry-leading navigation software suite. The touch-screen display is available in 8.4” and 12.1” so it can be installed on virtually any size boat.
From a single Maestro™ computer the boat owner can simultaneously run up to two touch screens, for both Helm and Fly Bridge control. The Maestro™ also provides an S-video output so that all system functionality can be viewed on any other S-video enabled television on your boat. You will not find this type of system at your local computer store or from any other navigation system supplier.
The features of this system include standard 2D and three-dimensional chart plotting with pre-loaded navigation charts, photos and topographic maps for the entire country, network radar and auto-pilot expandability, a high resolution fish finder, weather reporting and four camera capability. The Maestro™ also provides single or dual engine monitoring for all engine manufacturers that allows consumers a free choice of affordable accessories and products for their boats.

The Maestro™ comes equipped with on-board Wi-Fi for connections to available wireless networks. Another industry first found on the Maestro™ is a PCMCIA slot that enables the boat owner to use a PCMCIA broadband card for two-way Internet accessibility when wireless networks are not available.
With the Maestro™ system on-board the boat owner does not have to spend hours of valuable time studying the complex manuals required by conventional chart plotters, radars and fish finders. The Maestro’s™ intuitive features and touch screen display provide the boat owner with an out-of- the-box easy to operate system. The Maestro™ eliminates the confusing buttons, keys or dials found on typical navigation systems. Instead, the boat owner with just a touch of a finger can view and change charts, create routes, see high resolution navigation photos, get tide charts, drop-in radar overlays, control the auto pilot and much more.
